The Tommasi company was founded in 1902. Initially, it functioned as a small, wine farm of grandfather Giacomo, but over the years it has developed into the largest family estate in Valpolicella Classico, run by the fourth generation of the family. Currently, it covers 195 hectares of vineyards. Tommasi is located in Pedemonte, in the north-west of Verona, in the heart of the historical region of the "Classico" region, where the highest quality wines are produced. The single "Rafael" vineyard is one of the most prestigious vineyards in the region, with wonderful grapes created by nature.
The wine looks intensely ruby, subtly gives spicy nuances and a touch of noble truffles. The aroma reveals the aromas of black cherries, dried spices with notes of tobacco and skin. On the palate appears an intense spicy structure resembling sweet dark cherries. Recommended for meat dishes in sauce and cheese.
