Wine from the vineyard of Ontañón from Logroño, the heart of the Rioja appeal. Wine made from a rare variety of Tempranillo Blanco. The local albino was discovered accidentally by an albino grape in 1988, caring for the Murillo de Rio Leza vineyard planted with Tempranillo. Laboratory tests of the sample confirmed that this is a natural mutation of the red variety. After several years of additional laboratory tests, Rioja appeals the new variety of Tempranillo Blanco to the list of official varieties grown in Rioja. Enolog Bodegas Ontañon delighted in the aromatic richness of Tempranillo Blanco and planted this new variety of 15 hectares of vineyard.
The wine is rich in intense aromas of tropical fruit with notes of pineapple, white flower and citrus. On the palate well-structured, mineral and balanced with ripe stone fruit, orange flower note, sharp acidity and long finish. Recommended for poultry, risotto and baked dishes with vegetables.
