The wine is produced by one of the most renowned and world-famous Argentinian wine companies - Bodegas Salentein - founded in the 1990s by the Dutchman Mijndert Pon.
Mendoza, one of Argentina's most important wine-growing and wine-producing regions, supplies four out of every five bottles of the country's wine. Despite such a large production, it is in this region that the most important, best-known and highest quality Argentinean wines are produced. One of the highest vineyards in this country are those located in the Uco Valley - the southern part of Mendoza - located at an altitude of 1050 to 1700 m above sea level.
