Chateau Coucy
The wine is soft and elegant. The aromas of red fruit and red pepper appear, which is very typical of the Cabernet Sauvignon strain, accompanied by the soft and smooth notes of vanilla and licorice characteristic of a very ripe Merlot. It tastes great with lamb, roasted red meats and highly aromatic cheeses.

The castle Château Coucy is named after an old English family who lived in Aquitaine in the 15th century.
The property in 2007. was purchased by the Bonfils family and it was their first investment in the Bordeaux region in Montagne Saint-Emilion.
The vineyard is mostly planted with Merlot, which matures perfectly on calcareous soils. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc lots are slightly remote from the property and mature in more gravely soil. Harvesting takes place at the beginning of September, entirely by hand - in addition, the grapes undergo an additional selection after being delivered to the winery.
