Maturation: 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels.
Very expressive nose, with notes of blueberries. A fleshy and slightly rustic wine. It can be stored for at least 5 years.
Recommended for roasts, grilled meats, meat dishes in sauces, wild birds, medium expressive cheeses.
The Côte Chalonnaise is the continuity of the Côte-d'Or and as such has the same soil type and climate. Red wines, which account for most of the production, are fruity and plentiful. Among them, one emblematic name stands out: Mercurey, which produces aromatic and expressive wines.
