The grapes used to produce this wine come from the slopes of the mountain on which the picturesque town of San Gimignano is located. San Gimignano is commonly known as the "Manhattan of the Middle Ages" because of the tall ancient towers built by wealthy merchants. You can see them from a very long distance.
