This wine is composed of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and is aged partially in American and French oak. It has a 15-year maturation potential in the right conditions.

Wonderful aromas of black cherries and blackberries, combined with roasted coffee, moist soil, tobacco and spices. A perfect balance between the nose and the structured lips, in which we find a velvety but firm texture.

Stews, wild birds and lamb will be a good companion for this wine.

Lalande-de-Pomerol is a small appellation on the border of the famous Pomerol that uses the same terroir but has many hidden gems to offer and an excellent reputation for the quality of its wines. The soils allow the Merlot grapes to ripen perfectly and give the wines body and finesse. The small vineyard of just 1.5 hectares grows the same grapevine clones used in the production of Chateau Eglise Clinet and Petrus wines. From shrubs to the final product, only the most prestigious wines from Pomerol are the inspiration for the estate owner - Jean Claude Giraud.
