Tenuta Col d'Orcia is the traditional producer of Brunello di Montalcino. Tradition means respecting the essence of the Sangiovese of Montalcino, which is expressed in the potential of aging and improving wine through aging. At the beginning, the wine is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels, and then it rests in the bottle for a year under controlled temperature conditions. The grapes used to make Brunello come from a vineyard on a hill overlooking the River Orcia, so they are exposed to the sun all day. Manual harvesting with a rigorous selection of grapes allows for the selection of the best fruit.
