Chianti Classico Famiglia Zingarelli was born with the vineyard and has evolved with it over the years. This wine is the result of a careful selection of high-quality grapes from the Rocca delle Macie estate in the Chianti Classico region. The grapes from which the wine is produced are harvested by hand. After the fermentation process is completed, the wine is aged for about 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Chianti is one of the most recognizable Italian wines in the world and a trademark of Tuscany. The Sangiovese variety is always used to produce Chianti, but since 1996 other grape varieties can also be added. The most common are international varieties - such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is important that Sangiovese must be in the vast majority - the acceptable, minimum level of this strain is 80%.
