The wine was made exclusively from Syrah grapes. This grapevine, originally from France, has become known and popular all over the world thanks to Australian producers. It was introduced to Sicily in the early 90's. The strain has a very small number of grapes per hectare and the maceration of the grapes has to be under a controlled temperature for about 10-12 days.
