Juliénas is located on the extreme north-western edge of the Beaujolais region, on the south bordering Chénas and northeast on Saint-Amour. The appeal covers four municipalities and is located above the village of Juliénas, facing south. From the clay soil arise very good wines both young, after several years of bottling, and those longer matured. The vineyards in which the vines used for the production of Julienas are grown, are characterized by the greatest variety of land from all Beaujolais vines. The grapes are hand harvested at the time of their full maturity.
Julienas has a captivating, deep red color. Full of strong aromas of red fruits of redcurrant and raspberry. Rich and fleshy palate reveals a good balance. Recommended for grilled and roasted meat.
