Meursault Les Clous
An intense bouquet of fruit and flowers combined with a delicate mineral note. Rich and subtle wine with good crunchiness, which makes it very balanced. Good aging potential. Recommended for fish in creamy sauces, shellfish and seafood.

Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
Maturation: 8-10 months in French oak (10% new barrels) and up to 3 months in stainless steel tanks.
Some of the vineyards around Meursault, classified as village appellation, are located in marly soils identical to those of the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (only topography and height differ). These high-quality vineyards deserve separate vinification. This is the case with the terroir "Les Clous", the name of which apparently comes from a distortion of the word "Clos". Here, Bouchard Père et Fils covers 8.64 hectares, or almost half of the total area.
