Tempranillo is the most famous wine variety in Spain. It is grown in every region and has a different name almost every time. For example, in Ribera del Duero it is known as Tinta del Pais, in Valdepenas as Cencibel, and in Catalonia as Ull de Liebre. The early budding of this variety makes it very difficult to cultivate due to the high sensitivity to frost and the thin skin that is easily susceptible to mold. Despite this, it is highly appreciated all over the world for the quality of the wine obtained from it.
