Primitivo has been traditionally grown in Puglia since the 18th century. An interesting fact is that in Croatia, where it comes from, it is Crljenak Kaštelanski, and in the USA it is Zinfandel. The bushes are quite lush, and they like the hot climate the most. The bunches are large and compact, and the peel of the fruit is thin. Currently, it is one of the most popular varieties on the Polish market.
This wine is made from selected grapes from the Salento area of Apulia. After fermentation under controlled conditions, the wine is aged for 4 months in French oak barrels.
