Rosso di Montalcino Casisano 2017
Deep ruby red but nicely transparent. It has a complex bouquet reminiscent of violets, plums and red berries, combined with a delicate spicy note. It is dry on the palate, with an attractive balance between tannins and acidity. The finish is fresh and durable. Lively, fresh and easy to drink, Rosso di Montalcino is often interpreted as inferior to its older brother Brunello. We perceive them as equally pleasant and delicious in the context of everyday wine.
Its freshness and good structure make it very versatile. Perfect for pasta or rice dishes with meat sauces, grilled red meats, Italian cold cuts and cheeses.
