Primitivo has been traditionally grown in Puglia since the 18th century. An interesting fact is that in Croatia, where it comes from, it is Crljenak Kaštelanski, and in the USA it is Zinfandel. The bushes grow quite abundantly, and they like a hot climate the most. The bunches are large and compact, and the peel of the fruit is thin. Currently, it is one of the most popular varieties on the Polish market.

The PietraPura range is the result of the shared goals of making the most of the native Salento grapevines and producing wines that express the best of the earth in the climate of the region. Rocca delle Macìe has combined experience and knowledge to be able to produce wines in the Apulia region as well. All PietraPura wines are made from grapes grown in vineyards carefully selected by a group of oenologists from Rocca delle Macìe. The grapes are then fermented and bottled in the Puglia region under the watchful eye of Luca Francioni, the main winemaker of the Zingarelli family.
