The grapes used to produce this wine come from a vineyard planted in 1974, located on the Sant Angelo hill by the Orcia River. The particular Sangiovese clones, locally known as "Brunello", come from the Col d Orcia selection. The determination of the harvest time was to choose the perfect ripeness to produce a long-lived, structured wine. Manual harvesting with a rigorous selection of grapes allows the selection of the best fruit. The wine was aged for four years in oak barrels from Allier and Slavoni, and then in the bottle for another two years.
