Domaine Barville is the family estate of Laurent Brotte. The 15 hectare vineyard is located on the west side of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and consists of 7 lots spread over the two best areas of the appellation - "Pradel" and "Beaurenard". The average age of the vines is 35 years. The microclimate provided by the Rhône river combined with the blowing "mistrals" and the green harvesting contribute to the quality of the grapes used. The Syrah and Mourvèdre varieties are aged in French oak barrels, while the softer Grenache is aged in concrete vats and 100-year-old oak vats to maintain their fruitiness. Bottling takes place in March, after more than a year of aging and light filtering.
