The wine is dark red with reflections of pale purple. The nose is lingering and intense, rich and fruity with hints of blackberry, apricot, cherry and prune, as well as cocoa and rose flower. Pleasant sweetness on the palate which is full and balanced, good body and thick, with strong notes of cherries and jam. It goes well with seasoned cheeses as well as crispy cakes and cookies.
The Tommasi company was founded in 1902. Initially it functioned as Grandfather Giacomo's small wine farm, but over the years it has grown into the largest family estate in Valpolicella Classico, run by the fourth generation of the family. Tommasi is located in Pedemonte, in the north-west of Verona, in the heart of the historical region "Classico", which produces the best quality wines.
Fiorato is one of the vineyards that make up the wonderful property of Tommasi. This is where the Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapevines are born and grown, from which the Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is produced - a wine that embodies the Venetian wine tradition.
