Tenuta Col d'Orcia is a traditional producer of Brunello di Montalcino. Tradition means respecting the essence of Sangiovese from Montalcino, which expresses itself in the potential of aging and improving wine through long aging. At the beginning, the wine is aged in large barrels of Slavonian oak, and then rests for a year in a bottle under controlled temperature conditions. The grapes used for the production of Brunello come from a vineyard on a hill overlooking the Orcia River, thanks to which they are exposed to sunlight for the whole day. Manual harvesting with a rigorous selection of grapes allows you to select the best fruits. The deep ruby wine has a typical Sangiovese aroma with pronounced plum notes. Intense and abundant. Good structure on the palate, and at the same time soft and ripe tannins. Persistent aftertaste. A perfect balance between the smell of fruit and oak.
