The Quinta de Curvos vineyards are situated in a valley influenced by the River Neiva in the Vinho Verde region. They are heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, while enjoying the benefits of granite soils and generous sun exposure. All this builds the unique character of the wines produced there.
Concern for the environment is more than an attitude, it is a practice of Quinta de Curvos that places great emphasis on balancing the biodiversity of the vineyard ecosystem. Grapevines are grown according to the Integrated Conservation Plan to maintain the balance of agricultural ecosystems. Therefore, during the dormant period, the vines, tractors and herbicides are replaced by sheep, reducing the negative impact on the environment.
