The wine is aged for 4 years, three of which in large, Slavonian oak barrels. The wine is then refined in the bottle for another year.
Amarone Riserva "Ca Florian" is made from selected grapes from one of the oldest vineyards of the Tommasi family. Ca Florian Vineyard is a plot of 12 acres located in the Pedemonte hills surrounding the vineyards of San Pietro in Cariano and has a southwestern exposure. It is a terraced vineyard, the vines of which are on average 30 years old. The soils are mostly chalky and calcareous. Florian is made from the native Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella strains.
