The grapes used for the production of this wine come from a vineyard planted in 1974, located on the Sant Angelo hill on the Orcia river. The particular Sangiovese clones, locally referred to as "Brunello", come from the choice of Col d Orcia. Setting the harvest time consisted in choosing the perfect maturity to produce long-lived, structural wine. Hand harvesting with a rigorous selection of grapes allows you to select the best fruits. The wine was aged for four years in oak barrels with Allier and Slavoni, and then in a bottle for the next two years.
A rich, intense and lasting bouquet of wine with typical Sangiovese grape notes, enhanced by notes of spices offered by a long-lasting stay in barrels. The mouth combines the power and elegance of this extraordinary ruby wine. Well-constructed tannins, soft and ripe, are in perfect balance with pleasant acidity. A long, spicy and fruity aftertaste. The perfect companion to pasta, roasted and fried meat.
