Amarone Riserva "Ca Florian" is made from selected grapes from one of the oldest vineyards of the Tommasi family. The Ca Florian vineyard is a plot of 12 acres, which lies on the Pedemonte hills surrounding the vineyards of San Pietro in Cariano and has a south-western exposure. It is a terraced vineyard, whose vines have an average of 30 years. The soils are mostly chalk and limestone. Florian is produced from native strains of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella.
The wine matures for 4 years, of which for three in large, Slavonian oak barrels. Then the wine is refined in a bottle for another year.
"Florian's Ca" is characterized by great elegance, rich and dense structure. A wine with an unusual personality and a bright, deep ruby color. Complex and elegant on the nose, with a rich bouquet of black fruits such as plums, cherries and blackberries. The smell of red fruit, a balsamic and spicy nuance with a hint of dark chocolate. The whole with great elegance. Alcohol is perfectly integrated with silky tannins, giving a pleasant, long finish. Perfect for braised and grilled red meat, goulash, venison and cheese.
