Rocca delle Macie

History - Wine producers in the CHIANTI CLASSICO region since 1973

Rocca delle Macìe was founded in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli - producer of the Ettore Scola film "We All Loved Each Other So Much", as well as the extremely popular series of films with the comedy duo Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (including "They Call Me Trinity" "I", "Trinity Is Still My Name") - decided to make his life dream come true by purchasing the property" Le Macìe "- with a total area of 93 hectares (230 acres), of which only two were devoted to the vineyard, and then to create a winery in the heart of the region Chianti Classico.

The love and passion of Tuscany are passed on by Italo to his sons Sergio and Fabio and his daughter Sandra. In 1985, Sergio, Italo's youngest son, became personally responsible for the global distribution network, and in 1989, with his wife Daniela by his side, he was appointed President of the Company.

As part of a long-term business strategy and determination to pursue quality, Sergio, together with his sister Sandra, consolidates and develops a father company that is becoming popular around the world, winning many awards and distinctions for its wines.

Zingarelli family Our philosophy

“My father, Italo, managed to imbue us with a great passion for the Tuscan land and the art of wine making. In short, he gave us the desire and the will to continue this never-ending story that links wine with human life. He taught me with his iron will that working in the land requires determination. We have always offered wines whose quality and reliability reflect the organizational efficiency and professionalism of the company. We believe that the simplicity and authenticity of the relationship with our clients are essential elements for any type of partnership. We are convinced that companies develop and get better only thanks to the fact that they keep pace with the market and persistently pursue their goals. "
