Bodegas la val

Bodegas La Val

"Wine is made in a vineyard" - this is the Bodegas La Val philosophy in a nutshell. We invest in wines produced from our own traditional vineyards.

History

Founded in 1985 by José Limeres Guille, now Honorary President, La Val guides us to what we are today. We started in O Rosal, at the mouth of the Miño River, with the La Val vineyard. This is where our name comes from. Appeal of D.O. Rias Baixas has been with us from the very beginning. We promoted the creation of Rias Baixas Denomination of Origin in 1988 and have been members of the Consejo Regulador organization ever since. The production of quality wines requires a suitable area. That's why we planted Arantei and Taboexa in 1989 and 1990, and then Porto in 2012. In 2003, the production was moved to Finca Arantei, in the parish of Salvaterra de Miño, with a modern winery equipped with the latest technology. The building is surrounded by a 35-hectare plantation with a usable area of 6,600 m². 2010 saw a change of shareholders and the Limeres family has a small stake. Among the investor group, Fernando Bandeira as managing partner and Antonio Ruiloba as administrator partner have become the new owners of the vineyard.

BRC certificate

Our wine achieves the highest standards of quality and food safety. We are one of the few wineries, not only among Rias Baixas D.O., but in Galicia, certified by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) as one of the most important quality and food safety accreditations. This certificate recognizes the traditional combination of wine with the latest technology. Continuous efforts to improve and strive for excellence always lead us to innovation in our production process. As a result, our offer includes wines of the highest quality.
