Champagne made of 40% Pinot Noir, which gives it a specific fruity character and its solid structure, and 60% Chardonnay, which introduces subtlety and elegance, floral aromas as well as flavors of dried fruit and exotic spices. The rich, multi-layered structure of the wine is the result of the Chardonnay grape aged in French oak barrels and maturing for 48 months under the lees of yeast and grape skins.
Veuve Doussot is a family of winemakers who have lived in the heart of the Champagne region for over a century. The current generation proudly continues the family history of winemaking and strives to maintain the high quality standards and traditions established by previous generations of the family. They use both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties to add fresh and floral flavors to create a unique champagne.
This Cuvée is the flagship wine of Veuve Doussot and its full name - Cuvée Guy Joly Millesime - is a tribute to one of the company's founders.
The wine is perfect as an aperitif, but also goes well with shellfish and fish dishes.
